Travel to Hood River
From Portland
Get onto I-84E for approximately 58 miles. Take exit 62 to go into downtown Hood River. Take exit 64 if you are driving to Hood River Inn (Best Western). From Eastern Oregon Get onto I-84W. Take exit 63 to go into downtown Hood River. Take exit 64 if you are driving to Hood River Inn (Best Western). From Southern Oregon If you are in the Willamette Valley, take I-5N to Portland, and follow Portland directions. If you are near Klamath Falls, take HWY 97N through Bend. Continue onto US-26W and finally to OR-35 toward Hood River. Turn left on E State Street to go into downtown Hood River, or continue straight on Hood River HWY/ OR-35 to get to Hood River Inn (Best Western). |
To Mount Hood Organic Farms (wedding venue)
From Portland or Seattle or points east:
Take Hood River exit 64 off I-84.That puts you on the Mt Hood Hwy (#35) headed south. Go approximately 15 mi. to the Community of Mt Hood (basically the Mt Hood Country Store). Smullin Rd is 1.3 mi. past the store on the left. Start slowing down when the highway enters the forest and you see a sign for Toll Bridge Park. Our road (Smullin) is the next road to the left just past the brown county sign that says Oak Ridge Trailhead next left. Follow Smullin 1 mi. until it dead ends into our gravel road. If you're coming to stay or for a wedding, park in the event parking on your left across from the yellow house. If you're coming for fruit, follow the road to the end and the packinghouse. From Bend, Mt Hood and points south: Follow Hwy 26 until it intersects with Hwy 35 headed north to Hood River. Smullin Rd. is approximately 25 mi. form this point and 15 mi. from the entrance to Mt Hood Meadows. When you see the sign for Baseline Dr (brown county sign with info for Mt Hood Railroad, etc.) which goes to the left, you are approximately 1 mi. from Smullin Rd. Turn right on Smullin Rd (just past the state highway maintenance yard) and go 1 mi. until it dead ends into our gravel road. Please park in the Visitors Parking Area. |
Lodging
We were unable to block any rooms at any one hotel, we are so sorry lovely guests! Please be sure to make your reservations as soon as you can, there are other events happening in Hood River that weekend and the hotels and little rental houses are filling up fast!
Hood River Inn Best Western. They are all booked now from another event, BUT will open up rooms two months before our wedding date so keep checking.
Best Western that is right on the Columbia river in Hood River. Many rooms have waterfront view. Has a good restaurant and bar.
